Diverse Music is a record shop that has been in Newport since 1988. We are now in our third premises having got bigger, then smaller again. We sell a whole lot of vinyl and have two sister companies in the form of Diverse Vinyl, our mail order company and Diverse Records, our vinyl only record label.
We also sell the latest CD releases but leave all the X Factor rubbish to the supermarkets. We concentrate on indie, rock, country, folk, blues, jazz and are happy to order in anything that’s not in stock. We sell tickets for gigs and dance events in the area and sell music by local bands.
You can currently find us at 10 Charles Street, up the hill from Body Shop. It’s quite up hill but it’s worth it.
